A post by FIFA World Cup on Twitter shows that Ahmed Musa is the first Nigerian to score more than one goal in a World Cup match.

Ahmed Musa is also recognised as the first Nigerian to score in more than one World Cup edition.

Ahmed Musa scored two goals for Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where the Super Eagles lost 2 goals to 3 to Argentina.

The prolific forward also got on the score sheet twice as Nigeria defeated Iceland 2-0 at the 2018 World Cup held in Russia.
