Spanish giants, Barcelona have had injury worries this season, with winger, Ousmane Dembele recently picking up injury and is set to be on the sideline, and Brazilian winger, Malcom is rumoured to be leaving the Calanas, the La Liga table toppers are shifting their attention to Boateng and are close to signing the attacker.
Kevin-Prince Boateng is close to signing for Barcelona on loan from Sassuolo, according to reports from Sky in Italy. The fee would be in the region of €2m with an option to buy at €8m. Sassuolo’s general director Giovanni Carnevali will fly to Barcelona this afternoon with the deal expected to be completed soon.
Boateng is 31 and he is a German-Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for Italian club Sassuolo, after leaving German side, Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. Boateng received a Ghanaian passport and switched his allegiance to Ghana in May 2010, he has said that he feels more Ghanaian. He was capped 15 times for the Ghana national team, scoring just two goals, fearuring at two FIFA World Cups.
