English Champions Manchester City have penciled Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey as a possible replacement to Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho. City’s officials are monitoring the Ghanaian who plays his club football for Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Partey in the last few years have become a household name both at Atletico Madrid and the Ghana national team. His impressive outings earned him a place in the African best eleven in the year 2018.
With Fernandinho who has been a dependable midfielder for Pep Guardiola’s side ageing, there are reports that Partey could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium. He has become a subject of talk in recent times following his lack of game time at Atletico Madrid.
