Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al-Hazem have announced the signing of Nigerian attacker Kennedy Igboananike, subject to a traditional medical. Igboananike will therefore be joining Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa in the Arabian League. Nigeria international strikers Ahmed Musa and Joseph Akpala are on the books of Al Nassr and Al Faisaly respectively.
Igboananike’s past club in Sweden, örebro SK, had wanted to extend his contract but his response was negative, meaning he is joining Al-Hazem as a free agent. Igboananike lists Djurgården, Vasalund, Chicago Fire, D.C. United, Veria among his former clubs. In the 2018 campaign, the Dynamos Football Academy product tallied nine goals in 24 matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The 29-year-old will remain on the books of Al-Hazem until at least the end of the 2019-2020 season, having put pen to paper on a one-and-a-half year contract.
