Newcastle United coach Rafa Benitez and Son Heung-min has emerged the winner of the Manager of the Month award and goal of the Month award respectively. Benitez was announced the winner on Friday, November 14, Tottenham forward Son Heung-min strike for Tottenham Hotspur in the London Derby against Chelsea has emerged the winner of the Premier League goal of the month for November.
Benitez beat Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp two managers leading the league to the award.Other nominees include Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Everton manager Maro Silva and Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner.
Benitez won the three games Newcastle played in November and his Manager of the Month award is his seventh overall.Speaking to the Premier League about the award, he said, “Obviously I would like to win more manager-of-the-months then we would be in a better position in the table.
“But it’s always positive and it is good also for the staff. Everybody is helping you and it is an extra motivation.”
