One of the standout performer Goncalo Guedes in the Laliga Santander last season his hoping he can return to Valencia in time to play in Levante Derby as Valencia continue in their attempts to strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for the forward.
The Portuguese is keeping himself in the best possible shape by training at PSG, ahead of the Mestalla club’s clash with their city rivals on Sunday September 2.
He is convinced that he will sign for Valencia after the board and coach Marcelino reaffirmed their commitment to the player.
In fact, the Los Che bosshas called Guedes a number of times this summer to keep him engaged.
However, Valencia General Director Mateu Alemany has cast some doubt on the prospective move.
“His wish is to come here… the price is too high… we need to be prudent,” he said before last Monday’s game against Atletico Madrid.
“We are working hard to make it happen, but we are ready in case it doesn’t work out.”
Despite the Valencia chief’s cautious words, it is believed that the club is still doing everything they can to secure the deal.
Guedes himself has been committed to Valencia for quite some time, and continues to show the world that he’s working on his fitness ahead of a potential move, via his social media channels.
Valencia are also committed, they want him and he continues to be their priority.
The Portuguese forward will wait patiently in the French capital until any deal, which may go down to the wire, is completed.
His focus is on the September 2 match against Levante.
If all goes to plan, he will travel to Valencia by plane, be unveiled and then make his debut in the derby.
