He was released by Spanish club Las Palmas UD last month with a year to spare on his contract. The former Anderlecht player, who also enjoyed over two seasons at Standard Liège, returns to a familiar territory and will team up with his Nigerian compatriot, Abdul Jeleel Ajagun. Imoh has also been issued the jersey number 39.
He joined Standard Liège in January 2013 and was awarded with an improved contract which will keep him at the club until 2017. However, Ezekiel was transferred to Qatar Stars League club Al-Arabi for around 8 million euros the next year. He joined Las Palmas as the eighth signing of a busy winter to team up with fellow Nigeria internationals Oghenekaro Etebo and Emmanuel Emenike.
He received his first call-up to the Nigeria national team in February 2014. Ezekiel earned his first senior cap on 6 March, in the 0–0 draw with Mexico in a friendly match after coming on as a second-half substitute for Victor Moses.
