2023: Tinubu’s Camp Excited As APC NEC Settles For Indirect Primary


The South West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA’23), a group canvassing for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President in 2023 on Wednesday said it is happy with the decision reached by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the presidential candidate of the party will be chosen through an indirect primary election.


Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Hon. Bosun Oladele, the National Secretary of SWAGA said the movement is happy because they know Tinubu has the popularity to win the presidential primary owing to his capacity and popularity across the country.
While lauding NEC for the decision, Oladele said the indirect primary option will deepen internal democracy and ensure peace in the party as no aspirant will feel cheated as with the case of consensus which can be imposed on unwilling members.

Delta police rescue underaged girls allegedly used as sex slave, 10 prostitutes, 10 male suspects Arrested (video)

Operatives of the Delta Police Command have rescued five females including underage girls allegedly being used as sex slaves in a brothel in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.


The girls were rounded up during a sting operation at Fagoma Hotel, located at Aragba on Friday, April 15.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the development on Wednesday, April 20, said 10 suspected female prostitutes and 10 males were arrested during the operation.


DSP Edafe said the underage girls were allegedly trafficked from Rivers State by one Joy who’s now on the run.
He further confirmed that ten other male suspects and ten female suspected prostitutes were also arrested during the raid and Investigation is ongoing.
