Arsenal star Thomas Partey scored early in the first half. Super Eagles equalized via a penalty later in the first half. The penalty was scored by the Nigerian skipper Troost Ekong.

Both teams drew blank in the second half. With the away goal rule, the Black Stars of Ghana have qualified for the World Cup in Qatar.
NBTE director, Kofarmata dies in Abuja-Kaduna train attack
A director with the National Board for Technical Education, (NBTE), Abdu Isa Kofarmata, was among the passengers that lost their lives in the Monday night’s attack on Abuja-Kaduna train by terrorists.
Recall that terrorists bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train between Katari and Rigina axis, leaving many passengers dead and others abducted.
According to a family source, Kofarmata was shot by terrorists during the attack.
The source added that his corpse is on its way to Kano, while arrangements had been concluded for his burial according to Islamic rites.
The source also added that the late 55-year-old director was survived by four children and a wife.
