“It Breaks My Heart That This Senate Approved Buhari’s New $16 Billion Loan Request” – Reno Omokri

It was reported that the Senate today, Wednesday, approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s $16 billion loan request. This recent loan approval has caused a lot of Nigerians to react differently.

Based on that note, the former special assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri decided to react. While reacting, he made it clear that it really breaks his heart that the Senate approved Buhari’s new $16 billion loan request.

Speaking further, he stated it clearly that Buhari met $10 billion in foreign loans in the year 2015, but as it stands now, Nigeria owes the sum of $36 billion, making it clear that if you add them together, it will rise to $52 billion. He ended his tweet by making it known that each Nigerian will then owe $850.

This is really sad and uncalled for. I don’t think that borrowing money up and down is going to help us as a country. This government must do the needful so that they will be able to generate money internally, instead of borrowing money. No country will ever grow by borrowing money. Things must be done properly if we really want to move forward as a country.
