Good News, As Goodluck Jonathan Delivers The Best Christmas Message To All Nigerians

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has delivered one of the best Christmas message this year, as he urged Nigerians to show love for one another as they prepare to celebrate the birth of our Jesus Christ.

His message of love is a clear contrast to that of President Muhammadu Buhari, state governors and other public officials, who focused more on the second wave of COVID-19 by urging Nigerians to guard against further spread of the virus.

Jonathan in a statement by his Special Adviser, Mr Ikechukwu Eze, and reported by Vanguard Newspapers said that the spirit of Christmas required people to rededicate themselves to friendship, kindness and compassion.

“Christmas is a commemoration that connects the world to love, selflessness, sacrifice and solidarity; which are the virtues that Christ unambiguously propagated.

“Jesus’ message of salvation speaks to the essence of both spiritual deliverance and earthly redemption

“It is a constant reminder that humanity will have a more peaceful existence if people of the world rededicate themselves to friendship, kindness and compassion.

“At Christmas, the world needs love, this is the spirit we have to imbibe to heal all that is broken in our world. Merry Christmas to all our compatriots and the rest of humanity,” he said.

The 63-year-old elder statesman sounded presidential in his Christmas message as rumours about his plans to return to politics thickens.

As you know, prominent members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, had recently visited him to discuss among several issues plans for him to run for office in 2023.

Although, all parties involved had denied there was ever such discussion, some political analysts point out that Jonathan’s frequent visit to the Villa may be connected to a plot to have him return to complete his remaining term and handover power back to the North 2027.
