North East leaders under the aegis of Coalition of North East Elders for Peace and Development CNEEPD, have called for the sack of the service chiefs just as they expressed concern over the declining state of insecurity in the region.

In a statement released on Monday, September 21, by its Chairman of CNEEPD, Zana Goni, the eleders said the excuses the service chiefs have tendered over the years for the alarming level of insecurity were no longer tenable.

The national body of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has urged former National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and other leaders in Edo State to congratulate winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in the state, Governor Godwin Obaseki.

APC concedes defeat; congratulates Obaseki for winning Edo governorship election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has conceded defeat and congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki for winning last Saturday, September 19 governorship election in Edo state.

On Sunday September 20, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC declared Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the election after polling 307, 955 votes to defeat his main contender Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress APC, who polled 223, 619 votes.
