The immediate past National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday, narrowly escaped death by whiskers.

It was gathered that a trailer ran into the convoy of the former Governor of Edo state, destroyed his car, and killed two policemen who were part of his escort along the Benin bye-pass in Benin, the state capital.

Many people have been left in disbelief after a woman died during a river baptism in Zimbabwe, after she was reportedly grabbed by a mermaid.

Th 26-year-old woman was identified as Rutendo Nhemachena, and was believed to have been possessed by a mermaid spirit before becoming violent and jumping into the river.

Electricity Tariff Increase Takes Effect Sept 1 – NERC, Disco

Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved an increase in electricity tariff with effect from September 1, 2020.

Man And His Family Members Disrupt Wife’s Wedding With Another Man In Lagos Church

A wedding which was held in Great Salvation Christian Centre on Ako Aro Road in IFako-Ijaiye area of Lagos State saw its end, after an angry man and his family members stormed the wedding to claim the bride was his wife.

The police in Anambra state have arrested Nkechi Odinye, 55, pictured above, for allegedly running a syndicate that traffics children in the state.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, said Nkechi was arrested following the confessional statement made by three other child traffickers that were arrested in October 2019 at Nkpor market/Tarzan junction in Idemili North LGA in the state.

Fani-Kayode Gives Daily Trust 14 Days To Pay Him N6bn Or Face Legal Action

A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has asked the management of Media Trust Limited —publishers of Daily Trust and other publications— to within the next 14 days pay him the sum of N6 billion for alleged defamation of his character.

In an article entitled, “FFK, the Drug Addled Thug in Designer Wears” dated August 30, 2020, and published by the paper, the writer Iliyasu Gadu derided the former minister over his conduct during a recent press conference in Calabar, Cross River State, where Fani-Kayode referred to Eyo Charles, a Daily Trust reporter as “stupid” for asking him to name persons “bankrolling” his tour of some states.
