According to the Vanguard “The Leader of Afenifere, Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba, Senator Ayo Fasanmi is dead. The nonagenarian died yesterday (Wednesday) night after a brief illness in Osogbo.

Pa Fasanmi’s death was confirmed to Vanguard by his Personal Assistant, Tope Adebayo on Thursday morning.

Three members of a robbery gang have been burnt to eath by a mob after they attempted to rob the branch of an old generation bank in Okeho, Oyo State were on Wednesday, July 29.

According to the police command, Gbenga Fadeyi, he said in a statement that the robbers who rode in an 18-seater bus, arrived at the bank premises at about 3pm and gained entrance into the bank using dynamites and AK-47 riffles shots to blow the bank security door.

Fadeyi said a collaborative effort from the Police Tactical teams, Vigilante and hunters yielded results as the robbers failed to cart away money.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has condemned the fresh violence in Southern Kaduna.

MACBAN’s spokesman, Ibrahim Bayero Zango, said the renewed killings in Southern Kaduna should be blamed on Zango Kataf youths.

Zango urged the Governor Nasir El-Rufai government to ensure it identified and dealt with those behind the violence.
