Minimum Wage: Nigerians Rain Accolades On Festus Keyamo As FG, Labour Finally Agree On Implementation

There appears to be a new twist around the fresh breakthrough secured the the organised labour in the consequential implementation of the new minimum wage implementation for grade levels seven to 17 of the Nigerian civil workforce.

Apparently many Nigerians are raining the praise on Festus Keyamo, the recently the re-assigned Minister of State For Labour and Employment.

Recall that he was re-assigned by President Muhammadu Buhari from the Ministry of Niger Delta affairs for un-disclosed reasons.

He had tweeted on Thursday, announcing the new agreement between government and Labour:

Nigerians in turn went all out to sing his praises as can be seen from the following comments. One twitter user,

Yousoof Imam Shuwa @Yimam19 said ‘Is an honest, gentleman, I guess PMB redeployed him to Min. of Labour ’cause of this Labour/FG negotiation. We wouldn’t have had a successful positive meeting without the presence of @fkeyamo’ while Umaru Sule @umarusule said ‘PMB knew why he took you there. It was for times like this. Kudos’.
It is interesting to see how Nigerians have suddenly heaped the praises on the Minister of State knowing fully well there is a Senior Minister and the fact that he is just one man in the Federal Government’s team.
