Nigerians on twitter have tackled Governor Sanwo Olu of Lagos State over his tweet wherein he listed the construction companies presently involved in the various road constructions in Lagos State.
See the governor’s tweet below as well as reactions from Nigerians:

How will local indigenous construction companies grow if all contracts are given to foreign owned companies. We need to grow our businesses to develop Nigeria. God bless Nigeria

It's okay to encourage local contractors but some prefer to do substandard jobs even when there's the opportunity to be better. Ordinary road maintenance, these guys still perform below par. For lasting job, those with the pedigree for standard is best suited.

you get what you pay for. There are good indigenous contractors but our psychology is to pay them short because they are like us. i sincerely believe our greatest challenge is our "complex"… that odd belief that foreign is better.

Is anyone even looking at the fact that Sanwo-Olu and his party have been in unbroken rulership of Lagos State for the last 21 years? How long did it take Dubai to be what it is today? Let’s ask these pretenders to the throne tough questions! What did they do with IGR?
