The war of words between the Governor of Kaduna State, mallam Nasir El-Rufai and Former Senator from the central district of the state, Shehu Sani, has intensified.
There’s no slowing down to the hostilities that exist between both gentlemen – that end was not Friday, 27 September 2019.
The feud was re-ignited when the ex senator made comments on the payment of the new minimum wage in the state. The state Governor had boasted to have fulfilled his pledge to become the first Governor to effect the new minimum wage in the country.
Kaduna State Government becomes the first State Government in the country to implement the new N30,000 minimum wage. There is jubilation in the State as workers have started receiving salary alerts for the month of September.
Another promise kept.

In a remark on twitter, Senator Sani questioned the sincerity of reports that many worker in the state who had been paid their September salary received in line with the new template.
Any payment of minimum wage by any state not in accordance with the template of the new minimum wage act is simply a fraud.Selective, manipulative and dubious payment is simply a deceit.Confirm full compliance from the NLC & the TUC first not from politicians.

A twitter user quoted Sani’s remark and called the attention of the Governor to employ the ex senator in the state civil service – perhaps that could put a stop to constant criticism of his administration.
The Governor replied expressing doubt over Senator Sani was good enough for the state civil service.
Uncertain whether he is good enough to be employed by the Kaduna State Civil Service Commission!???????????????? https://t.co/jl9S2t8LzN

The Senator pulled a come back with another tweet targeted at the Governor later on same day.
He accused the Governor of resulting to local drama after being denied VISA to travel to the United Nation’s General Assembly with the President.
When the Body Bag Governor was denied Visa for UNGA,he resorted to local drama…take heart go to Dubai those ones no dey deny.

Recall that during that time, in a move that was highly publicized, Governor El-Rufai enrolled n his son to one of the state’s public schools.
What’s your take on the rift between these two gentlemen? Drop your comments below.
The rift between the two men is very good. At least Sen. Sani, is helping to put a wedge on the excesses that would have not been challenged by any other ordinary citizen of the state. Gov. El-Rufai enrolled his son in Capital School. To me this is mere propagader. Why not enroll his son in LEA Primary School, TRIKANIA, Kaduna. If he did, we residents of TRIKANIA would have been applauding the Governor to the high heavens by now.
