Former minster of Education, Obageli Ezekwesili has reacted to the court order granting bail to publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore – who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Recall Sowore was arrested following a planned nationwide demonstration, Revolution Now. The Government accused him of plot to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari.
But in a court order, obtained on Tuesday by Sowore’s legal team – led by renowned Lawyer Femi Falana – the former African Actions Congress, AAC, Presidential candidate was granted bail.
Reacting, Mrs Ezekwesili hailed Sowore’s legal team for the victory and warned Presidency to “better comply swiftly” with the order
“Many thanks to @YeleSowore‘s legal team led by our dear Femi Falana— SAN for the successful outing today. Great that the Judge ignored the Presidency and granted Bail to the convener of #RevolutionNow. #AsoRock @NigeriaGov of @NGRPresident @MBuharibetter comply swiftly.”-She tweeted
