The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has once again been thrown into mourning.
This time, the ex Vice President was morning the loss of a stalwart of the PDP – Mrs Toyin Ajinde, who was a leader of the women’s wing of the opposition party.
She was days ago reported to have been involved in an auto crash. She went into coma and finally died on Wednesday night.
Reacting on Sunday Evening, Atiku paid tribute to Mrs Ajinde, saying that her commitment to a better Nigeria was unparalleled.
The ex VP expressed sadness over her demise and asked that her family be comforted and her soul rest in peace.
Mrs Toyin Ajinde’s commitment to a better Nigeria was unparalleled. As a PDP woman leader in Ondo, she worked tirelessly to achieve this. I knew this because she was my longtime staunch supporter. I’m saddened by her loss. May her family be comforted & her soul rest in peace. -AA
