The new Economic Advisory Council constituted by President Muhammadu Buhari has been described a good step, but only if the president listened to the team’s advice.
Former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani made this observation. According to him, in a social media post, taking the advice of the Security advisory Council was also imperative.
Recall that President Buhari on Monday constituted a new economic team; by replacing the Economic Management Team with an Economic Advisory Council.
The new team is made up of former member of the central bank monetary policy committee, Prof Doyin Salami (Chairman); former CBN Governor, Chukwuma Soludo and Mohammed Sagagi (Vice President).
Other are:
Prof. Ode Ojowu – Member, Dr. Shehu Yahaya – Member, Dr. Iyabo Masha – Member, Bismark Rewane – Member and Dr. Mohammed Adaya Salisu.
Reacting on Tuesday Senator Sani opined that the new would only serve its purpose if the president listened to its advice.
EAC,a good step if their advice would be taken or their truth tolerated;Next should be Security advisory Council.
