The Islamic Movement of Nigeria ( IMN), otherwise known as shiites, have reportedly clashed with the Nigeria Police on Tuesday following a march by the group in Kaduna.
During the clash, there was reported shooting of protesters by the Police – that led to the death of 3and others seriously injured.
Meanwhile in Abuja, the Nation’s capital, the group made good their threat as they marched on the streets of the capital to observe Ashura procession.
They converged on Wuse market as early as 7 a m and marched toward the popular Berger roundabout.
The protesters were seen waving flags with arabic inscriptions and chanting anti-government songs.
The protesters hurriedly dispersed on sighting armed policemen to avoid being arrested.
The protest caused gridlock in many parts of the city.
