Reports that Bandits were demanding a deal with the Nigerians government before they will cease their criminal activities in Katsina State have caught the attention of former Senator Representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani.
Katsina Governor, Bello Masari had gone to meet the bandits on the orders of President Buhari and reportedly promised to release all arrested bandits in a deal with them.

Reacting, Shehu Sani expressed shocked that bandits were given such comfort.
“The Bandits in Turban, comfortably sitting on sofa, sipping Tea & bitting some crackers; And giving us conditions for ceasefire & peace; The Tuco Benedicto nation needs a Clint Eastwood.” He tweeted.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s government is often criticized for what many understand as soft approach to dealing with bandits.
In contrast, Buhari is seen as tougher on unarmed groups – with proponents always citing the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB, and the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IVM, (two groups believed to be unarmed in carrying out their activities)
