The former Chairman of the Osun State Chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Derin Adebiyi, who was recently sacked from his position, has laid a curse on Adams Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman.
Adebiyi who was angry as he spoke with men of the press in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, transferred his aggression on the APC National Chairman saying;
“Oshiomhole is backing this illegal caretaker committee; he has caused serious damages to the party at the national level. Mark my word, Oshiomhole will leave his position with ignominy (shame)”.
The former Ogun State APC Chairman made accusations that Oshiomhole was backing an “illegal caretaker committee” in the state. He as well accused Oshiomhole of generating crisis in the party on a national level.
He described as “a forceful invasion and illegal occupation by loyalists of Gov. Dapo Abiodun”, the takeover of the Party secretariat by the Yemi Sanusi-led caretaker committee.
Adebiyi further accused the Sanusi-led committee of storming the APC secretariat in a “warlike manner”, as some fierce-looking security operatives had accompanied him.
“It is a forceful invasion by the loyalists of Ogun governor. They illegally occupied our secretariat. They stormed the offices, drove away our staff and locked the place up. The action is condemnable,” Adebiyi said.
Giving further explanations, Adebiyi said that the matter was currently before an Abuja High Court and wondered why the caretaker committee was not willing to wait for the outcome of the case. Adebiyi, however, reiterated his commitment to continue to explore legal means to reclaim the party secretariat.
He said that it was his administration that paid the rent of the secretariat which is currently at the centre of the whole controversy.
“The caretaker committee has been conducting their businesses in Osoba’s house. We are no novice; we have refused to take laws into our hand, but we will explore all legal means to reclaim the party secretariat,” Adebiyi declared.
