On Monday, 19th August the Oyo State governor sent a list of three new Commissioner-nominees to the Oyo state House of Assembly for confirmation.
And on the list was the name, Seun Fakorede who is probably set to make history as one of the youngest commissioners ever in the history of Nigeria.
Fakorede, 27 who hails from Ibarapa Local Government of Oyo State finished from the Department of Civil Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU in 2016.
In 2015, Seun Fakorede also known as Phakoo within student quarters contested for the Student Union Presidency slot of the Obafemi Awolowo University where he lost to his contender, Tayo Akande popularly referred to as TY whom he congratulated in what was a truly state man like step.
Seun is the founder of Home Advantage Africa (HAA), a non-profit devoted to the promotion of local dominance and global stardom in Africa through digital storytelling and use of other like vehicles.
He started off HAA in 2015 as a conference where Africans between age 16 and 35 converge to share ideas
Seun describes himself asĀ an engineer, entrepreneur, consultant and author.
According to his LinkedIn bio, Seun believes more African Millennials are going to lead tremendous impact in the next few years of human history than ever before, and his responsibility is to raise more men to lead this vanguard.
Seun’s passion and work has promoted leadership development and accountability for Millennials as critical indices to Africa’s development through seminars, conferences and other platforms.
He will be bringing to the table as a Commissioner in Oyo state, his 7 plus years of experience in administrative, operational and managerial support to various organisations.
