”Yahaya must go” See Hilarious Campaign Video Melaye Shared

Senator Dino Melaye is serious about his gubernatorial ambition ahead of the upcoming governorship election in Kogi State. The senator in a video he shared on his twitter handle shows a funny campaign song calling for Yahaya Bello’s removal.

He is looking forward to displacing Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress who has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons lately.

Melaye is presently a member of the Nigerian Upper legislative House, the Senate, having being been re-elected in February to represent Kogi-West Senatorial district during the general elections for another term in the legislative chamber.

He was one of the helmsmen who installed Bukola Saraki as he seconded the nomination of the senator as a candidate for the office of President of the Senate following a nomination made by Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima back in 2015.

Governorship Ambition

Dino Melaye declared his intention to contest for the Kogi State gubernatorial election which would be held within the last quarter of 2019 on June 2nd during a meeting of Kogi West PDP executives held at his country home Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu local government area of the state.

Although Melaye is a frontline contender, no fewer than 40 aspirants are said to have indicated interest to contest the gubernatorial election under the platform of the PDP.

In the vein, some major contenders are also within the fold of the APC amongst them being a former Chief of Naval Staff, Jibril Usman and Yahaya Audu, a brother to late Prince Abubakar Audu have indicated interest to slug it out with Governor Yahaya Bello during the primary election scheduled for August.
