“A Crass Display Of Comic Relief” – FFK Blasts Senate Over Conduct Of Concluded Ministerial Screening

The ministerial screening has finally come to an end with all 43 nominees being confirmed by the Senate. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the PDP and a former minister of Aviation in the country, gave his opinion on the just concluded exercise.

The former minister, however, did not sound impressed with the whole process as he compared it to the ministerial screening which he faced during his own time.

He said he spent nothing less than 2 hours 30 minutes, answering a plethora of questions that were thrown at him without missing any on live television.

See his tweet below:

He further went on to lambast the current Senate saying the Senate during his screening had men and intellectuals in their midst.

Referring to the just-concluded, he said, it was a pitiful joke and a crass display of comic relief which was far below the level of such an institution as the Senate.

See the tweet below:

It will be recalled that Senator Dino Melaye, a member of the current senate had also criticised the screening exercise, calling it “beautiful nonsense” even as he said that many Nigerians were not happy with the process.

He, however, blamed the President for not attaching portfolios to the list which he sent to the Senate.
