Former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani has admonished the leaders of southern groups; Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Afenifere, Middle Belt and Niger Delta not to abscond from meeting involving Fulani socio-economic group, Miyetti Allah.
This comes after it was reported that members of southern leadership withdrew from a peace keeping meeting, called by former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar to address the conflict between herders and communities in the southern part of the country.
The Fulani herdsmen have been clashing with communities in some parts of the country, that usually result in farmers-herders disagreement.
Several pastoral host communities have threatened to evict the herders as the group have been thought to be behind many reported cases of killings, maiming and kidnappings.
Former head of state, Abubakar had called for the meeting to use the opportunity to address some the concerns, only for the Southern leaders to abscond, expressing their contempt for sitting in a gathering with the herdsmen.
Reacting, Senator Sani, who formerly represented Kaduna Central in the senate, advised the southern leaders not to leave the table because of the Miyetti Allah group, as according to him, “You can’t contain or extinguish what you consider a fire by moving away from it.”

Abdul salami is not suppose to invite myiti Allah with all this social cultural groups together for a meeting who are this myiti Allah? .fulanis why for i only no that this fulanis are the once killing Nigerians and this fool who was the chairman peace committee in 2019 election the that the election was rigged and call atiku who worn the election to accept defite, he is now calling for peace security meeting and invited his brother that are killing our people, this criminal Abdul salami changed the constitution of nigeria to fervour the Hausas fulani muslim ,so if the government want peace let them send this idiot’s back from where they brought them el-rufia no and abah kiari before any peace talk and the meeting will be in the East not in the north no body is affread of myiti Allahs as senator sani is saying.
