As the ministerial screening which kicked off on Wednesday, July 24, continues, Nigerians have been making their thoughts on the process known via social media.
There have been divergent views expressed by many on the exercise.
President Muhammadu Buhari had sent the ministerial list containing 43 nominees to the Senate for confirmation on Tuesday.
As the occasion was set to begin, two Senators who were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senators Dino Melaye and Phillip Aduda, representing Kogi West and the Federal Capital Territory in the National Assembly respectively, kicked against the fact that the FCT was not included in the ministerial list, as should have been the case according to them.
The screening would later continue however after the Senate President gave the go ahead as he noted both submissions made by his colleagues.
See what Nigerians are saying about the screening so far:
Some are disappointed with the process so far.
Senate President Ask the Nass to Leave Rotimi Ameachi, being a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly has been asked to take a bow and leave without any question. What a country #MinisterialScreening

Ogbonnaya Onu should stop disgracing himself.. If creating unfounded awareness about science and Technology was a major achievement of the Science and Technology Ministry under him for four years, then he shouldn't be confirmed again as a Minister #MinisterialScreening
