The national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress,APC,Adams Oshomhole stole the show during President Muhammadu Buhari’s Inaguration yesterday for what looks like a disgrace and show of shame over breach of protocol. The number one APC member stood between Justice Ibrahim Muhammad, the acting chief justice of Nigeria and service chiefs after heads of other arms of the legislative and judiciary arm of government.
Comrade Adams Oshimhole, joined Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President Bukola Saraki; Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house of representatives, and the fierce looking military service chiefs dressed in their ceremonial regalia awaiting the official arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari into the Eagle Square arena for the swearing in ceremony.

An high ranking military personnel walked up to the APC Chairman to inform him of the breach of protocol after conversing with him, Oshiomhole left and relocated and the space left by his exit was promptly filled by the Chief of defence staff, Abayomi Olonishakin.Below is the law governing the inauguration according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
At the inauguration of any President and Vice-President, the swearing-in-ceremony shall be organized and executed by the National Assembly, and shall take place in any place determined by the National
Assembly, preferably in the Arcade of the National Assembly premises.(ii) The entire inauguration ceremony, apart from the actualadministration of the Oaths of office shall be conducted and officiated by
members of the National Assembly.
2. The oath of office shall be administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeriaor the person for the time being appointed to exercise the functions of that office, in accordance with the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
3.—(i) The members of the National Assembly shall occupy a speciallydesignated seating area and all Principal Officers of the Executive, Judiciary and Party Executives shall be given a designated seating area.
(ii) Members of the Diplomatic Community shall also be seated in a designated area.
4. Nigerians and other Nationals shall have access to the Venue of the inauguration at the National Assembly subject to space constraints, but refusal of access or inability of any person to gain entry into the inauguration Venue shall not give right of action in any Court of law and the presence or absence
of any person (other than the distinguished participants)shall not invalidate any aspect of the proceedings.
5. There shall be National Prayers in observance of the inaugurationwithin the week of the inauguration held in designated places of worshipin the Federal Capital on the Friday and Sunday, preceding the date of the inauguration.
Part III — Procession
6.—(i) All serving and former Presidents, Heads of State, Heads of the Federal Government, Vice-presidents (or equivalent), Senate Presidents and Speakers of House of Representatives and the Chief Justices of the Federation shall be in attendance with their spouses.
(ii) There shall be a formal procession of the dignitaries and each shall be accompanied to the Podium by an appointed serving Senator or Member of the House of Representatives.
(iii) The President-elect and Vice-President elect and their spouses with their immediate families shall be the last to come in the procession for the inauguration.(iv) The President-elect and Vice-President elect at the point of swearing in shall be supported by their spouses, the serving Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives.
