The Deputy Chairman(North) of the ruling political party, the All Progressive Congress,APC, Lawal Shuaibu has asked the national chairman of his party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

In an official letter dated May 27, Shuaibu pointed accusing finger at Oshiomhole for deciding on party affairs without contacting members of the national working committee,NWC,

The party chieftain,  stated that members of the NWC prisided over by Oshiomhole hardly meet on issues about the party and when they meet their decisions are not always implemented.

“Please don’t get me wrong, do not think I am saying these about your conduct as Chairman because I want to be Chairman. I don’t want to be NationaI Chairman, because I can not be, even if I want to, for as long as President Muhammadu Buhari is in office, having come from the same North West geo-political zone,” The APC chieftain stated .

“In advanced democracies, people who fail to add value or build over and above what they met on assumption of duty show some civilized examples, they honourably bow out.

 

“In that connection therefore, I want to advise you to take the path of honour, to step aside and allow the Party to embark on the onerous task of reconstruction and rehabilitation in those States it was weakened by the effect of manner the last primary election exercises were conducted or even the task of recreating the party where it is on the path of extinction, arising from the loss of a sitting APC Government, for example

in Zamfara State, where you directly personally created the problem leading to the painful complete loss of APC’s electoral fortunes, FROM UP TO DOWN I All these are uncontestable facts. You cannot exonerate yourself from blame on what happened to APC Zamfara State, thereby destroying the hopes and aspirations of 534,541 APC members and supporters, including my good self!”

It will be recalled that few days ago the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo North senatorial district has disclosed that it will challenge any attempt  by the Edo State government aimed at tanishing  the image of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the party’s national chairman, The leaders disclosed this in a communique issued at an high powered  meeting on Monday appended by  High Chief Aloye, Chief (Alhaji) Usman Mogaji Charlton and Ahmed Musa Momoh.

”the meeting passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the national chairman of the APC, COMRADE Oshiomhole. We gathered to basically react to the publication in the Nation Newspapers, which tends to portray in bad light the party primaries conducted by the Oshiomhole led NWC.

“We have no doubt that the advert was orchestrated by those in Osadebey Avenue who rose to power and suddenly forgot how they got there. We condemned that publication and urged the State Government to stop playing hide and seek game in its attempt to rubbish the legacies of Oshiomhole which we will surely resist.

“The leaders also reaffirmed that the National Chairman remains the undisputed leader of APC in Edo North and Edo State respectively. They resolved to always stand by him and stand for him at all times.
