Reactions have trailed proposed plan by the Federal Government of Nigeria to re-launch its bid to own and operate an airline – Nigeria Air.
Following what many described as unsuccessful bid in President Buhari first term to float the airline, the FG recently announced it has, in a renewed bid, approved the sum of N47 billion for the take off of Nigeria Air.
Sen. Hadi Sirika, who is the country’s Aviation Minister disclosed the money is already in the 2019 budget recently passed by the National Assembly.
Recall that in September, 2018, the Federal Government had announced the suspension of the planned National Carrier, Nigeria Air indefinitely
Nigerians now wonder why the Federal Government now wants to re-launch the bid to establish the National Carrier.
One twitter user accused the federal government of trying to cease the avenue to “loot” more money.

They have come again oo, chai people will still fall for this scam

This is one of the problem and misplaced priority we have in Nigeria, Nigeria should be decentralized. Let State generate money to build Airport, leave diversification to States, stop making States to be redundant. The States are suppose to be feeding the Federal. My opinion

Please instead of this crap!! Share the money amongst poverty stricken Nigerians.. who are desperately in need of money..

This Nigeria Air project has turned to searching for crude oil in the north that ends up gulping so much from the Nigeria lean economy. Even God go don tire for our leaders

Haaaaaaa, is this not to be the concluding part of the scam FG promise us for this Next Level train? I’m being skeptical about this because of past experience

Nigeria needs a national airline. @hadisirika has been a fantastic Aviation Minister, gone are the days of @realFFK & Stella Oduah unwholesome performance. However, @hadisirika still needs to do more. I’ll like that national ✈ airline be placed under a private management.
