Following series of killings that have been perpetrated by uniformed men, Lawmaker Dino Melaye and Actress Omotola jalade Ekehinde have weighed in on the brutality.
Speaking on Twitter, Dino says the need to reform the civil force responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order is at an all time high. He said: ”The Lives of Nigerians should be precious to all. Enough of indiscriminate Killings”
There is no better time to reform the police especially SARS than now. The IGP must redeem the battered image of the Force. It is becoming unbecoming. The Lives of Nigerians should be precious to all. Enough of indiscriminate Killings. – SDM

Twitter maverick, Japheth Omojuwa also expressed his disappointment at the ongoing killings ”The policing system has failed;” he said
If Nigeria doesn’t fix the Police, it will not get a hand on its national security. The policing system has failed; it is why soldiers are present in virtually every state, it is why the police has lost the moral argument… #PoliceReforms pic.twitter.com/UOBFD1bAud

Reacting to the tweets, Nigerians are saying:
We can as well start tagging @bbcnews @cnnbrk @cnn and @aljazeera so that they can start airing since the #endsars won't change anything and our useless government can't do nothing.

SARS is a threat to livelihood
Once they stop me on d way the first I do is to beg for them to spare my life because I see death when I see SARS— Mr DBBK (@DbbkRecord) April 15, 2019
We need to start asking ourselves what training is given to these people before they're given guns? It's becoming crystal clear that all the monies spent on Police Training Colleges and programmes are a waste!!! An anerage Nigerian Policeman is the most short tempered being. Sad!

We should stop adding politics and sentiment to issue of national importance. Our police force is a failed institution like other institutions instead of protecting lives and properties; they kill the lives and also steal properties. What is the root of this problem?

A system needs to be created to prevent incompetent people from attaining offices of great power and responsibility. Government performance needs to be constantly audited by an independent anonymous body.

The @APCNigeria administration and tenure is going to go a long way in the history of Nigeria as the most heartless, Selfish, corrupt and brutal period of all time…— 'Leke Ben (@benesth37) April 14, 2019
My second term will be tough. We thinking he was joking. Now it has started the implementation before May 29.

Nigeria is on the precipice, something needs to done immediately otherwise implosion is eminent.?
Police brutality against unarmed civilians has reached an unprecedented leve in recent time.

This Police has been in the news in recent times for perpetrating crimes they should be curbing. It will be recalled that two police officers (who have now been dismissed and are currently awaiting trial) killed a London returnee, Kolade Johnson on Sunday, March 31, 2019, while they were trying to arrest another man because of his dreadlocks.
The most recent allegations are SARS officials killed a two people who were returning from a club on April 13 2019
