A Federal High Court sitting in Asaba on Thursday has nullified the All Progressive Congress, APC governorship primary election conducted in Delta State.

 

 

 

The Plaintiff Hon. Victor Ochei, through his lawyer Mr. Ahmed Rahi, SAN, prayed the court to declare that the APC gubernatorial primary election that held on September 30, was illegal and unlawful.

 

 

This was filed on the ground that delegates unknown to the law were used for the exercise in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1085/ 2018. Judicial symbol Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court gave the ruling today.

 

 

 

Recall that the opposition, Ogboru, contested for the governorship post under the All Progresives Congress, APC, but he failed woefully in his attempt to become Delta state governor.

 

 

 

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the 2019 governorship election in Delta.
