Buhari Meets Security Chiefs The Third Time In March Inside Aso Rock Amidst Insecurity In The Land

Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has scaled through a busy schedule today. He spared headed the launching of the Micro Pension Plan and assured Pensioners of regular payment for pensioner on their entitlements.

Later, President Muhammadu Buhari, met with Service Chiefs and security heads behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

From informations gathered, we understand that the meeting was expected to deliberate on the security situation across the country.

The security chiefs at the meeting were Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonishakin, Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete IIbas, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai and the Director of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ahmed Abubakar were represented at the meeting.

Also present were the National Security Adviser, Major Gen. Babagana Monguno, Director General, Department of Security Service (DSS) Yusuf Bichi, the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu and the Chief of Defence Intelligence and the Minister of Defence, Brigadier Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali.

 

Recall that President Buhari earlier in the month met with the security chiefs few days before the gubernatorial elections. The topic discussed then was majorly how to achieve maximum security during the election.

Few days before the supplementary elections, The President also met the security chiefs of the nation. Bringing the total numbers of times they met in March to three.
