Trouble Looms In Oyo As Ajimobi’s Aides, Chairmen Are Hospitalised For Alleged Food Poisoning

A number of guests who were invited to the inauguration of excavators bought by the Oyo state government on Friday, March 22, are said to get treatment in the wake of being presented with nourishment made accessible at the event.

Those affected are government authorities, Royal dads and Samuel Egunjobi, the running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship competitor, as gathered by The Nation.

Others are aides to the Oyo state Governor Abiola Ajimobi and council chairmen and party supporters who were also present at the occasion. It was gathered that the food was set up by a Lagos based cook, who works with the state government.

Another assistant to Ajimobi was said to have been rushed to a clinic after eating a similar food. In addition, a few dignitaries who were at the event, have been hospitalized for supposed food poisoning harming.

One of them, addressing newsmen, stated: “I saw hellfire soon after eating. I visited the toilet multiple times ‎and vomited around multiple times between Friday night and Saturday morning.

“I was later admitted at a hospital where I was given some pints of drips. My survival is by the Special grace of God.”

Added to this, a council chairman from the Oke-Ogun zone of the state, revealed that he began to be uncomfortable in his stomach, believing it was only a minor issue, not until he stated vomiting and visiting the toilet frequently.

In the same vein, Legit.ng revealed that Seyi Makinde, the Oyo state Governor-elect, has said he was resolved to review all agreements including the affirmed N30 billion contract that was granted in about fourteen days by the outgoing administration of Abiola Ajimobi.

He said he would intently look at the hastily granted contract when he authoritatively comes into government on Wednesday, May 29, Vanguard reports. Makinde said this in an announcement discharged by his director on media, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
