Following the announcement of the speaker House of Representatives, Honorable Yakubu Dogara, that no evildoer would go unpunished, Lauretta Onochie, social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday subscribed to Dogara’s premise, saying that Idigun, Sango, Oshosi, Ogun, Mkpitime, Iyi Odekpe, Animodua, Adugbé, Amadioha and other deities would consume those who selfishly rigged the 2019 general elections.
Recall that many Nigerians have faulted the outcome of the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of colluding with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to rig elections. The major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was not left out as they listed, irregularities and electoral fraud as challenges that bedeviled the 2019 electoral system.
At the 85th Emergency National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abuja, Dogara opined; “What has happened (the 2019 elections) is pure evil. Our consolation as members of this party is that evil doers not last and no evil doer has ever escaped punishment. If they do what others have done before, they will see what those who did evil saw. Definitely they cannot escape from it. It is a law of nature and it is in the scripture of God, that whatever you sow, you shall reap.
