In Ogun State, a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP which is being led by Chief Oladipupo Adebutu a governorship aspirant has given it’s endorsement to the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Adekunle Akinlade.
This development is coming 2 days before the Gubernatorial Elections scheduled to hold in the state on Saturday, March 9th. Adebutu’s decision is believed to have been fueled by his ongoing legal battle with Senator Buruji Kashamu over the PDP governorship ticket.
Earlier today, the former DG of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Gbenga Daniel shocked the country when he announced his support for Dapo Abiodun, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Adebutu reportedly has the backing of the party chairman, Uche Secondus. The popular Ogun politician also signed a memorandum of understanding with Akinlade, containing a list of demands from the former.
National chairman of the PDP faction, Sikiru Ogundele expressed happiness at the new partnership adding that party executives at all levels will vote for Akinlade.
