BIG FEAR! See Why Elections May Not Hold, PDP Guber Candidate Dares Court Over Judgment

Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has raised concern over the situation of things in Nigeria under the current administration.

According to TheCable, Secondus said that Nigeria has slipped into “full blown dictatorship” under the current administration. Speaking at the PDP expanded national caucus meeting in Abuja on Monday, Secondus accused the President Muhammdu Buhari administration of winning reelection “with the use of military force”.

He said “with the way things are”, new leaders may only be announced in 2023 without any election taking place.

He insisted that the PDP was “rigged out” of the presidential election, adding that the party had finalised plans to challenge the outcome in court.

“Never has it happened in the history of our country that INEC will be so compromised,” the PDP chairman said. What happened on the 23rd has never happened since independence. All Nigerians are aware and the leaders are not talking. If you don’t talk against evil, one day evil will pursue everyone.

“With things like this, in 2023 there may not be an election, it will be an announcement. It may be to put the figures together and announce. Our supporters and leaders are being arrested and the leaders of our country and peace committee are keeping quiet. What we have now is a full blown dictatorship.”
Secondus said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is “celebrating criminality” in the name of victory.

“They are celebrating rigging and manipulation and criminality and it will consume them one day,” he said. INEC chairman you may think all Is well, President Buhari you may also think all is well. People are clapping hands but history is being recorded. History will judge you.”
In another development, following the court ruling on Monday that nullified Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kano state, the PDP candidate has revealed that the ruling does not in any way affect his candidature as the case is against PDP, which he said the party has taken the most appropriate action of appeal to address it, Daily Trus reports.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by spokesman to the Kano PDP candidate, Malam Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to the statement, as far as the candidate is concern, his campaign activities will continue till Thursday night when the deadline of campaigns will elapse as contained in the Electoral Act 2010 as amended“Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf remains the candidate of the People Democratic Party for the 2019 coming election on Saturday 9th of March, 2019. The case has nothing to do with the flag-bearer of the party, it is an internal issue with one of the aspirants and the party has taken the next step,” it added.

Similarly, the party also accused the ruling APC in the state as being behind the issue.
“We are surprised that the news of the judgement came from the mouthpiece of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, via social media before the court ruling was delivered. It is a fact that the ruling party (APC) is behind the scene on this case; they are determined to frustrate the opposition ahead of Saturday’s polls for the fear of the unknown,” it added.

It also called on all members of PDP and the teaming supporters of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf to remain calm and move forward with electioneering campaigns to ensure victory for the party come this Saturday.
