The high powered National Council of State chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari has agreed on the minimum wage to be fixed at N27,000
The national council approved the sum during an ongoing meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.The meeting had in attendance former presidents like Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, among others.
It will be recalled that Serving and former Nigerian leaders will today meet under the prestigious Council of State to address some national issues and some appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari.Top on the agenda of the meeting holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja are the new national minimum wage and the ratification of the appointment of the new inspector-general of police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu.Adamu was appointed by the president last week to replaced former IGP, Ibrahim Idris, whose tenure expired on January 3, 2019 upon completing the mandatory retirement after 35 years in office.
