Dignitaries from different spheres of life stormed Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Wednesday for the colloquium in honour of the former governor of Osun state, Chief Bisi Akande who clocked 80 years old.

The colloquium with the theme Nigeria: Achieving national unity through peaceful restructuring had the Kaduna State governor and Chairman APC committee on restructuring, Malam Nasir el-Rufai as the keynote speaker while the discussants were former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani; Prof Adigun Agbaje of the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan and Senator Olu Adetumbi, Secretary APC committee on restructuring.
Chairman of the occasion was Vice president Yemi Osinbajo while former Lagos governor and a national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was the special guest of honour.
Dignitaries in attendance included the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mr. Benedict Alabi; Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Adebule and the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Others were former governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole; the Orangun of Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, Prof. Olu Aina, Prof. Sola Adeyeye and others.
