There was no protest whatsoever, by any of the 2000 Police Personnel deployed to the North-East, to complement the Military in the fight against insurgency.
The above statement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Ag. DCP, Jimoh Moshood, on Wednesday night.
Jimoh revealed that “the video was doctored to mislead the public and cause disaffection.”

The attention of the Nigeria Police Force, has been drawn to a video on social media platforms, doctored to create an erroneous impression that “about 2,000 MOPOL undergoing training for boko haram, dropped their weapons in protest.
The Force wishes to state that the video was mischievously doctored and circulated to mislead the public. There was no protest by any of the 2,000 MOPOL undergoing Special Forces training in the North-East. The personnel have successfully passed out from training, and have been deployed to the front line along with the Military, in the three (3) States of Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa, and are doing well in the operations.
Members of the public are hereby enjoined to discountenance the video as untrue, mischievous, and a fake news.
