Yesterday, 26th December, Sherifat the first daughter of Ogun Senator, Buruji Kashamu  remaried. The venue was Bestwestern Hotel, Ahmadu Bello, Victoria Island ,Lagos owned by the Senator who is currently battling in courts to clinch Ogun PDP 2019 governorship ticket. It was a very private event that had  very few relatives and friends in attendance.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who is coordinating the PDP presidential campaign in the southwest was a big surprise guest at the event. Both Kashamu and OGD have been entagled in political differences for a couple of years now and that explains why his unexpected presence at the Senator’s wedding is such a big suprise. He was the chairman of the event. Senator Ben Bruce, and a few top politicians attended the wedding with OGD.

 

 

The new couple already have two kids together and they have been staying together in London long before now. The groom is fair skinned, tall and handsome. He is very private too, we heard.

Sherifat is like the favoruirite of her father and so she always gets whatever she wants. Sen. Kashamu supports her with all he has.

 

 

The bride looked so beautiful all through in her two outfits; both for the Nikah and reception. She could be a no nonsense person but also very shy.  She is loved and adored by many, especially those who have had encounters with her.

If you would recall, Sherifat was once married to Jide Subair also from Ijebu Igbo. Jide Subair and Sherifat were togther since their University days at OOU.  They got married in 2006 and few years later the marriage hit  the rocks. Those who spoke in Sherifat’s defense back then alleged infidelity on Jide’s part for the marriage crash. They called him all sorts of names then too.

It was during his marriage to Sherifat that he tried his hands on politics many times with the support of his father-in-law. He later got married to Nike  Bush, the daughter of prominet Lagos APC Chieftain, Chief  Bushira Alebiosu.

One of the few socialites that attended the wedding in Lagos was Chief Folashade Adesoye of JewelryAffiar. She is a close ally of Senator Kashamu and a godmother to the bride. She was there in company of her sister and other friends. (CityScoop)
