PDP Chieftain Dumps Party, Joins APC|| PDP Primaries: Obi Was Afraid Of Governors – Atiku Reveals

Adamawa LP disown governorship candidate
The Labour Party (LP) in Adamawa has disowned its Governorship candidate, Alhaji Umaru Mustapha, over alleged anti-party during the presidential election.
Mr Christopher Nicolas, the state LP Chairman, confirmed this at a news conference in Yola on Thursday.
According to him, Mustapha had addressed newsmen before the presidential election urging his supporters to vote for APC.

Nicolas appreciated the good people in the state for their massive votes for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate.
He called on the party supporters to get their PVCs ready and vote for the party’s candidates aspiring for state assembly on Match 11.
“On behalf of our President, National Chairman, we thanked our supporters for the votes given to us, we appreciate you all.
“We equally encourage you to vote for candidates contesting for state assembly under our great party.
“While for Governorship we are working on it because he came out publicly and denounced our boss, and called his supporters to vote for APC which is an offence for us,” he said.

I Am Ready To Dialogue With Peter Obi, He Was Scared Of PDP Govs- Atiku Breaks Silence On Presidential Election

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has expressed willingness to form an alliance with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Atiku admitted that Obi took the votes of the PDP in the South-East and Southsouth.
According to him, Obi left PDP in 2022 when it was obvious he won’t get the party’s ticket. He said his choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State was part of his commitment for a balanced ticket after Obi’s exit.

“I would have picked Obi again as my running mate if he was in PDP. But he left for Labour and I can’t stop him. Yes, he took most of our votes in the South East and South-South states but that won’t make him president without the North.”

He however noted that one cannot be Nigeri’s president unless he has nationwide support.
He stated that Peter Obi was in a rush and was scared of PDP governors.

Delta PDP chieftain dumps Okowa, joins APC after Tinubu’s victory
A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State and the Koromotiemowei of Ogbe Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Chief Aribogha Johnny, on Wednesday formally dumped the PDP and defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Johnny, alongside his supporters, defected few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

The former PDP chieftain said in a signed statement that his “decision came not just as a result of the outcome of the just concluded presidential election, but as a result of the level of marginalisation and disregard he has faced in the Peoples Democratic Party for many years.”

According to him, his political allegiance had been with the PDP until the party leadership started treating him like a “low class member” despite his contributions to the successes recorded in the party at the state level in the past years.
