APC PCC member, youth leaders, others defect to PDP in Delta
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta, Wednesday, suffered a huge setback as scores of party officials resigned their positions and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A member of the APC Presidential campaign Council and Deputy Director, Transport and Logistics, Delta South Senatorial Campaign Council, Apostle Onome Eneromoja and 6 Ward 10 Executive Committee members in Ndokwa West resigned their positions and joined the PDP.

Also, the former Isoko North LGA Youth Leader, Gospel Efe Obiaro led 10 Ward Youth Leaders and other Executive Members of APC at LGA and Ward into PDP during the Presidential campaign rally held in Asaba.

Their defection is sequel to the announcement of the resignation of the former APC State Secretary, Otunba Nick Ovuakporie who also joined the PDP on Wednesday.

They pledged to work hard to further deplete the APC structure in Isoko Nation, saying “we will network and get our people back to the umbrella party.”

Bomb Blast Displaces 8,000 People In Niger Community
No fewer than 8,150 people were displaced from Galadima-Kogo and environs in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State when an aircraft bombed the area on Jan. 24.

Many members of a vigilance group in the area were killed, while their commander sustained serious injuries.

The area bombed had Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) taking refuge at some facilities.

One of the displaced victims, Hajiya Rabi Musa, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that residents saw the aircraft flying through on Tuesday only to hear a very loud bang that shook the area.

“Many of our people were killed, aside from the vigilante members. We ran to take shelter at the NSP facilities; right now no single person is left in our community; it is deserted.
