Sowore: Tinubu Slept At Presidential Candidates Meeting, Didn’t Say A Word
Comrade Omoyele Sowore, Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has fired a salvo at Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu and Sowore were among those who attended the meeting that the National Peace Committee NPC under the leadership of Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) organised in Abuja on Friday.

According to Abdulsalami, the meeting was organised to ensure proper conduct of the candidates, their parties and other stakeholders, especially during the campaigns ahead of the elections.

Hours after the meeting ended, Sowore tweeted that Tinubu made no contribution.

“We just returned from a meeting of party leaders/Presidential candidates with the national peace committee in Abuja, the Presidential candidate of The ⁦@OfficialAPCNg⁩ ⁦@officialABAT⁩ slept through the meeting, he didn’t say a word. His party chair spoke on his behalf,” Sowore tweeted.

NPC Fixes March 29 For Nationwide Census
The National Population Commission (NPC) has fixed the national population and housing census for March 29 to April 1, 2023.

Nasir Kwarra, NPC Chairman, disclosed this while speaking with State House reporters after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday.

“By March 29 to April 2, our staff will be in the field enumerating people,” he said.

Kwarra added that the technological tools to be deployed would be able to code building and landmass, detailing information such as location, and landscapes among others.

The NPC chairman, who said his commission would ensure a credible exercise, added that non-Nigerians would equally be counted so long as they are in the country at the time of the exercise.

He said the exercise would be different from the previous ones marred by controversies with high-end technology.

Eight APC Supporters Killed In Zamfara Auto Crash, Matawalle Suspends Campaign
No fewer than Eight supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State have been confirmed dead in a ghastly motor accident along Gummi – Bukkuyum Road in the Gummi Local Government Area of the state.

The incident happened last night when the supporters of Governor Bello Matawalle were returning from the APC’s campaign in Gummi when three cars were involved in a head-on collision.

Media aide to the governor, Zailani Bappa, disclosed this in a statement on Friday. He said the incident forced his principal to suspend his campaign rally in Bukkuyum Local Government Area to mourn the victims.

“Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has suspended his campaign rallies in Bukkuyum Local Government Area to mourn the passing away of eight persons involved in a ghastly accident along Gummi/Bukkuyum last night,” the statement read.

“The accident occurred after Maghrib prayer when three cars were involved in a head-on collision killing six people reportedly involving a newly married couple”.

“Five of the corpses were given a befitting Islamic prayer for the dead after Jummaat prayer in Bukkuyum this afternoon where His Excellency and his entourage were in attendance.”

The governor proceeded to visit the Emir of Bukkuyum, Alhaji Mohammad Usman in his palace and paid his condolence to the families and people of Bukkuyum in general.

He described the incident as one that was designed by Allah.
