Declare your support open for Tinubu, Osinbajo, Aregbesola challenged
A pro-Yoruba leader and loyalist of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Remilekun Tijani Usman, has challenged both the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to openly declare their supports for Tinubu’s presidential ambition, saying their silence is not the best at the moment.
Usman, who further challenged the duo to make their stands known to the public as beneficiaries and products of Tinubu’s political dynasty, however, pledged to support Tinubu’s campaign with N100 million donation.
In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Usman urged the duo to take a cue from the former Governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who did not only identify with Asiwaju’s project but also campaigned vigorously for Yoruba man to be president.
“If those who are not from Yorubaland including northerners are not hiding their support for Asiwaju Tinubu, one wonders why our brothers whose political journey cannot be completed without Tinubu’s influence are yet to be mobilizing and working secretly and openly for him.
“There may be differences but they should resolve and bury their hatchet in the interest of Southwest, Yoruba and give Tinubu the best support he deserves from them.
IPOB, ESN Didn’t Kill Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Iyiorji In Ebonyi – Spokesman, Powerful
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has denied that its militant arm, Eastern Security Network (ESN), killed an Islamic cleric in Ebonyi.
Sheikh Ibrahim Iyiorji was killed by gunmen in Isu, in the Onicha Local Government Area of the state.
SaharaReporters reported that the Islamic cleric was reportedly murdered at his residence on Sunday and died on Monday night.
In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, on Friday, IPOB said neither its members nor members of its security outfit engage in the killing of innocent people.
IPOB said, “We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to disassociate ourselves from the murder of one Muslim cleric and Sheikh Ibrahim Iyiorji of Ebonyi state.”
“IPOB does not engage in such barbaric killings and cannot be part of such heinous crime against humanity. IPOB does not kill flies, talk of human beings and an Igbo man for that matter irrespective of his religious belief,” it said.
