Ameachi’s Camp Reacts As Buhari Moves To Name Successor + Nigerian Army Nabs Foreign Terrorists Informant

There is no President that will not name his successor, Amaechi’s DG backs Buhari
The former Senate Minority leader and the Director- General of Rotimi Amaechi Presidential Campaign Organisation, Senator Ali Ndume, APC, Borno South has thrown his weight behind President Buhari on the comment, saying it is democratic.

Speaking with Vanguard, Senator Ndume who noted that there was nothing wrong in Buhari wanting to pick his successor, said that there is no President that will not name his successor or be interested in who succeeds him after office.

Ndume who said that former President of the United States of America, USA, Barack Obama picked interest in his Vice, Joe Biden to succeed him and he worked very hard to support Biden, said that there was nothing wrong with the position of President Buhari on the issue.

“The call by President Buhari that he should be allowed to pick his successor is not out of place, it is democratic and he was democratic about it. There is no President that will not name his successor.

Troops arrest notorious foreign terrorists’ informant in Sokoto
Defence Headquarters on Thursday said troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, on May 21, arrested one, Jabe Buba, a foreigner and notorious terrorist informant, at Garuwa village, in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Maj.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, the Director, Defence Media Operations, said this while briefing newsmen on military operations across Nigeria, between May 19 and June 2, in Abuja.

Onyeuko revealed that pictures and video of Buba posing with rifles in the forest were found in his cellphone and the sum of N130,000 was recovered from him during the operation.

According to him, the troops also recovered 292 cattle and one camel during an encounter with terrorists at Dampo village, in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara.

In Operation Whirl Stroke, Onyeuko said the troops neutralized a kidnapping gang leader and two others who were all dressed in military uniform along Zakibiam-Ugba road in Benue and rescued one victim.
