According to a post by Nigeria History and Facts on Twitter, Nigeria was seen as one of the countries with the brightest future on the planet.
The country was also stable to a large extent at least in comparison with the state of affairs in 2019.
Nigeria in the 1970s,
Had one of the strongest currencies in the world with 75 Kobo = £1 & 60 Kobo = US$1
– Constant power supply
– Excess jobs
– Finland called Nigeria “a future world power.”
– Gowon said “Nigeria’s only problem was how to spend money.”
It’s a stark contrast in today’s Nigeria which could make one to begin to wonder where it all went wrong.
