Scary Video Of How A Man Was Nearly Struck By Lightening During A Thunderstorm (Video)

A resident who identifies as Romulus McNeill was nearly got struck by lightning at ‘Academy for Technology and Academics’ in South Carolina, in America after a heavy downpour.

According to the video shared, the lightening’ struck just a few inches away from McNeill while he was strolling through the way to the school’s exit gate, as he works as a counselor in the school.

The whole incident was captured by a CCTV camera set-up in the school’s compound and McNeill was quoted as saying; “It was raining cats and dogs earlier and it kind of had a little lull in it and I said I’ll try and get out right then and it didn’t work out that way. It wasn’t that easy,” Watch video below;

He continued, saying; “I saw a light; I tried to get up out of there like the roadrunner,”

“I don’t want that to happen to nobody else. It was crazy.”

McNeill explained that he doesn’t know the exact place the bolt hit, but the video shows that it hit the green grass which was right next to him on the sidewalk.

He also revealed that he felt a noise and jolt when the lightning struck right next to him.

A chief Meteorologist who first received the video was quoted as saying; “Either way it is likely deadly and he’s fortunate to be alive,”, “The bottom line is lightning can strike 10 to 15 miles outside of a thunderstorm,”, “So if you can hear thunder or you can see lightning, you’re not safe.”

It’s highly advised that people should remain at home, or indoor whenever there’s a thunderstorm.
