Millions Of Christians Worldwide Weep As MFM’s Dr Olukoya Loses Mrs Olukoya (Photos)

This is definitely a very trying time for followers, fans and parishioners of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, worldwide, as their General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, is bereaved. He has lost his mother, Mama Janet Olukoya, aged 95 years. Mama Olukoya died peacefully in her sleep in the wee hours of Sunday, 25 years after she lost her husband.

Dr. Olukoya, who officially announced the death of his nonagenarian mother while rounding off the monthly Power Must Change Hands prayer programme of the church, last Saturday, directed the congregation to shout seven hallelujah, before he announced that his mother has gone to be with the Lord.

Mama was said to have been a fervent worshipper at the MFM International Headquarters, Onike-Yaba, Lagos, where she was a prayer warrior and member of the Elders Group. Her burial programme will be announced later. She is survived by Dr. Olukoya and Mrs. Funmilayo Olowoake, also a member of the MFM, grandchildren and other family members.

May her gentle soul rest in in the bosom of the Lord.

This painful exit is coming almost a week after Pastor Adetokunbo Olorunnimbe, the Chief-of-Staff and Chief Private Secretary to Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God was confirmed dead. Olorunnimbe died on Saturday, March 30th 2019, at the age of 60.

Tokunbo was deeply devoted to the life of the church. He served in many ways at the Redeemed Christian Church of God: He served as the pastor of several parishes and was pastor of RCCG City of Palms. As Private Secretary to the General Overseer, he was a highly trusted and respected member of the church. He never wanted praise for any of his labour of love, but always saw his service to the church, to the community, and to his family as a way of sharing his love for God. Tokunbo was trained as a lawyer in the University of Lagos and Cambridge University. He was stimulated by cerebral debates and was a man who was always up for the adventure of life. But no matter what he was doing, he enjoyed his time with his family – including his church family – more than anything.
